Craft brewery, BrewDog, today releases DIY Dog 2017, the second iteration of the brewerys annual homebrew bible, releasing every single one of BrewDogs recipes past, present and future, scaled down to homebrew proportions; the 259 page archive also includes the recipes for
all the beers BrewDog plans to make in 2017, meaning keen craft beer fans can try their hand at home before the official beers are even released.
The first DIY Dog caused waves in the craft beer industry in 2016 when it laid bare all of BrewDogs back catalogue of boundary-pushing brews, prompting a steep change in how intellectual property is viewed in the brewing industry. The initiative aims to inspire budding hop heads to immerse themselves in the sacred art of brewing.
The beer bible includes 23 experimental new recipes to try; BrewDogs latest innovation, the high-velocity 22% ABV Hop Shot, and Cloudwater collaboration, New England IPA. Among the 2017 new release recipes, BrewDog has offered up the recipe of the first ever #HomeBrewDog
competition winners concoction, a Caribbeaninspired stout named Tropic Thunder. Also making an appearance is kick-ass brew, Nitro Breakfast Stout and a small batch recipe for Vermont IPA V2.0 all ready for Hop Heads to get their teeth into. Each brew comes complete with a full ingredient list, volumes, methods, timings and food pairing suggestions.
